Cat is considered lucky in mythology. A house having a cat is said to be filled with luck and prosperity. Maneki-Neko is a Chinese cat which is considered to be very lucky. It is considered very auspicious to place a cat in shop or office. You will always find a cat at shops in Japan or Hong Kong. It should always face the door so that the people coming in the shop have a sight of it.
